An absolutely awesome post by Danny Sullivan on Search Engine Land regarding Jason Calacanis’ recent comments about the folks working in the SEO community.

Sullivan expounds in this post, so eloquently, on why these comments are oh so wrong and why the SEO community is so riled up about these irresponsible comments.

OK, so there may be some unethical SEO firms out there making us all look bad, but for the most part our SEO industry professionals have ethical standards - and work within those standards.

It’s the careless, cursory mouths like Jason’s that piss off us SEOs - perpetuating the untruths.

Did Jason deserve such a lengthy post from Danny Sullivan? I think, YES, if not to set the record straight from a reputable SEO professional - and from a louder (more credible) voice - to speak for most all the rest of us SEO professionals that share the same ethical SEO standard.
